Investing in the best companies in the US, Europe or Asia.
The United States
Started in 1975, our US investment service remains our most important product. Our US team of analysts, based in Bermuda and New York, selects the few outstanding growth businesses that meet our investment standards. Of the thousands of companies listed on the American stock markets, we follow about 30 to 40. Of those, our portfolio managers select the best 15 to 20 companies that we believe present the most attractive opportunity to hold at any time.
Most clients invest with us through directly managed accounts, but we also have several pooled structures such as investment funds that follow the same investment discipline and hold very similar portfolios.
Europe
Our London-based team of analysts constantly searches for the best investments in Europe, including the United Kingdom, to qualify them for our universe of European businesses that meet our criteria. Their fellow portfolio managers then choose from this universe of 50 names, the companies they believe best to hold at any time. As with all our investment strategies we apply a bottom up process, selecting the most attractively valued companies, regardless of nationality or industry.
Clients with more than a million dollars to invest may open their own directly managed account of European equities. Or clients may choose to invest in our European investment fund.
Asia
Through our affiliate, Bowen Asia, we gain access to intensive research on Asia’s and Australia's best companies. The Bowen team follows about a hundred companies in existing growth areas throughout Asia, whether outsourcing businesses in India or retailers in China or technology companies in Japan. The businesses that are owned in Bowen’s Asian investment products are added to our global universe. In addition, Bowen offers its clients an Asian investment service that selects a concentrated portfolio of the 15 to 20 of the best Asian businesses.
