  1. William P. Stewart Executive Chairman; Analyst/Portfolio Manager  
    Bill is Executive Chairman of W.P. Stewart & Co., Ltd. Mr. Stewart started on Wall Street in 1955 on the trading floor of the New York Stock Exchange. He joined Spingarn, Heine & Co. in 1957 as an analyst/registered representative and, in 1961, moved to Pyne, Kendall & Hollister in the same capacity. He was successively Director of Research, General Partner responsible for the firm's investment advisory and institutional operations, President of its international investment banking subsidiary, Managing Partner and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Riter, Pyne, Kendall & Hollister, Inc. After the sale of Riter, Pyne's principal business in early 1973, Mr. Stewart joined Ruane, Cunniff & Co., an investment management firm, as Vice Chairman, while simultaneously founding W.P. Stewart & Company as a corporate consultant. He established W.P. Stewart & Company as an investment advisory firm in 1975. Mr. Stewart reduced his involvement in the firm in 2001 and fully retired from the day-to-day management of the firm at the end of 2004. He returned to the company full time in early 2007 and remains fully engaged in its research and investment management activities.
  2. Mark Phelps Chief Executive Officer; Analyst/Portfolio Manager  
    Mark is Chief Executive Officer, President and Managing Director - Global Investments of W.P. Stewart & Co., Ltd. Mr. Phelps was appointed Chief Executive Officer in September 2008 and joined the Board of Directors at that time. He originally joined W.P. Stewart & Co. (Europe), Ltd. in February 2005 as a Global Portfolio Manager.  Mr. Phelps is a British national with more than 20 years experience in European, U.S. and Global investment research and portfolio management. For over 20 years he held senior positions within the Kleinwort Benson/Dresdner Bank organization in both London and San Francisco. Most recently he served as a Chief Investment Officer for Global Equities at Dresdner RCM in San Francisco. Mr. Phelps has a BA (Hons.) in Economics from the University of York in England and completed graduate studies at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, England. From 1981 to 1984 Mr. Phelps was in the British Army and finished his service with the rank of Captain.
  3. James T. Tierney, Jr. Chief Investment Officer; Analyst/Portfolio Manager  
    Jim is a Senior Vice President of WPS Advisors, Inc. and Chief Investment Officer of the U.S. equity research and portfolio management team. Mr. Tierney began his career in the Equity Research Department at J.P. Morgan Investment Management in 1988. He analyzed companies in the entertainment, healthcare and finance industries. Mr. Tierney left J.P. Morgan in 1990 to attend business school and returned after completing his M.B.A in 1992 to become a Senior Analyst. As a Senior Analyst he followed a succession of industries, including energy, transportation, media and entertainment before joining W.P. Stewart in 2000. Mr. Tierney holds a B.S. degree from Providence College and an M.B.A. from Columbia University.
  4. Heath Bogin Analyst  
    Heath is a Vice President of WPS Advisors, Inc. and an Analyst on the U.S. equity research and portfolio management team. Prior to joining W.P. Stewart in May of 2010, he spent eight years within AllianceBernstein's Growth Equity Division, most recently as Vice President and Senior Analyst covering media, gaming and lodging companies. During his tenure at AllianceBernstein, he gained valuable experience in both fundamental and quantitative analysis. Mr. Bogin holds a B.A. from Emory University and has earned CFA and CPA designations.
  5. Stacey Brodbar Analyst  
    Stacey is a Vice President of WPS Advisors, Inc. and an analyst on the U.S. equity research and portfolio management team. Prior to joining W.P. Stewart & Co., Inc. in 2007, Ms. Brodbar spent seven years as a sell-side equity analyst with Credit Suisse, most recently as a Vice President on the restaurant team. Prior to joining Credit Suisse, Stacey worked as an investment banking analyst at PaineWebber. Ms. Brodbar holds a B.A. from Duke University and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.
  6. Dev Chakrabarti Analyst  
    Dev is a Vice President of WPS Advisors, Inc. and an Analyst on the Global equity research and portfolio management team. He joined W.P. Stewart & Co. (Europe), Ltd. in September 2005 as a member of the European equity research and portfolio management team. Mr. Chakrabarti has ten years financial experience, as an M&A Analyst at Merrill Lynch, a Financial Analyst with Unilever and most recently served as an Equity Analyst at J.P. Morgan Securities specializing in European telecom equipment stocks. Mr. Chakrabarti has a BSc. (Hons) in Economics from the University of Bristol in England and a Masters in Finance from London Business School.
  7. Samantha A. Epstein, CFA Analyst/Portfolio Manager  
    Samantha is a Senior Vice President of WPS Advisors, Inc. and an Analyst /Portfolio Manager on the U.S. equity research and portfolio management team. Prior to joining W.P. Stewart in 1998, Ms. Epstein was employed with CREF Investments where she managed a global fund and five domestic sector neutral funds. She began her career at Fidelity Management and Research in 1991, as a junior analyst. In 1993, Ms. Epstein moved to Evergreen Asset Management. Ms. Epstein graduated magna cum laude from the Wharton School of Business with a concentration in International Economics. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst and is a member of the CFA Institute. She has taught at the New York Institute of Finance and privately for other institutions, including courses in financial statement analysis and forensic accounting.
  8. Michael Walker Analyst  
    Michael is a Vice President of WPS Advisors, Inc. and an Analyst on the U.S. equity research and portfolio management team. Prior to joining W.P. Stewart in 2009, Michael was the technology sector analyst on the large cap growth fund at Ark Asset Management. Before joining Ark in 2007, Michael spent nine years at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette and then at Credit Suisse First Boston as a senior research analyst covering the IT hardware and electronics supply chain sectors; in 2006 he was the top-ranked analyst in his sector on Institutional Investor magazine's All-America Research Team survey, after ranking third in 2004 & 2005. Prior to beginning his finance career at DLJ in 1998 he was an IT consultant with Deloitte Consulting. Michael graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
  9. Rob Walker, CFA Analyst  
    Rob is an Analyst of WPS Advisors, Inc. He joined W.P. Stewart in May 2006 as a member of the U.S. equity research and portfolio management team. Mr. Walker began his career at Redwood Investments, LLC as an Associate where he performed multiple roles in trading, research, and marketing. He is a CFA charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute and New York Society of Security Analysts. Rob received his B.A. from Tufts University where he majored in Quantitative Economics and minored in Foreign Policy Analysis.
