W.P. Stewart Securities LLC (“WPSSL”) is our affiliated broker-dealer. Managing concentrated portfolios makes it crucial that all trades on behalf of our clients are executed with the greatest care. Our commission rates have declined significantly in recent years and are now, we believe, highly competitive.

To monitor best execution obligations, Elkins/McSherry LLP, a well-established, internationally recognized independent provider of trading cost analytical services monitors and reports on the trading activities at WPSSL. Their studies have typically shown that WPSSL’s trades have historically been better than the average of Elkins/McSherry’s universe of institutional clients. These results, along with the ability to manage trading activity for our clients, which is important given the limited positions in our portfolios, show that trading is a value-added operation.
